TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

This day is devoted to discovering the Tarangire National Park. The park offers numerous tracks to approach the animals in the stunning landscapes of the savanna. The Tarangire park is covered with acacia forest and giant baobabs and surrounded by swaps that attract various animal species. You may see elephants up close during your safari, as Tarangire is known for. Throughout the park, you can find species that are challenging to locate in other northern parks, such as the Gerenuk, Oryx and Greater Kudu. After a long day of exploring, you will spend the night at Sangaiwe Tented Lodge.

We provide premium quality bikes, and if something goes wrong, we have a rescue team available to help you. The bike ride will allow you to cross a part of the Manyara forest and the small herds of wild animals on the bank of the lake and the fishermen. LAKE NATRON

This day starts, after breakfast, with a guided walking tour around Lake Natron. This lake has one of the most alkaline waters in the world and is surrounded by flamingos and other water bird species. The next stop of your hike is the Ngare Sero River, where the oasis landscape contrasts the surrounding dry terrain. You may encounter baboons and other wildlife on the way to the river’s source. Once you reach there, you will face waterfalls gushing out of the mountain. The road to Engaro Serai Falls is not always easy, but the reward of swimming is worth it because it is a great way to cool off after a hot hike in the sun. After ending the walk, you will return to the camp to enjoy a delicious meal under the stars. Due to the hot weather at Lake Natron, we strongly advise you to bring protective clothing, sunscreen, water shoes, or closed sandals to go into the water for maximum comfort. At the end of the day, we will drive you back to your homestay, Maasai Giraffe Eco Lodge.

The park is also home to many other species, including cheetah, Thomson’s gazelle, Grant’s gazelle, hyena, baboon, impala, wild dog and giraffe and about 500 species of birds. After a long day of exploring, you will spend the night at The Whisper Tented Camp.
