At the village, you will learn about the way of living of the Chagga people and take a coffee tour to see how the locals grow and brew coffee. After the coffee tour, you will go to Materuni Waterfalls, located 30 minutes from Moshi town, 150 meters above sea level, nestled in the lush green forests of the Kilimanjaro foothills. You are going to stay at Mama Asia/Mary homestay. Here you will have the chance to immerse yourself in Tanzanian culture and see the way of life of the local people.

Day 3
Sangaiwe Tented Lodge

This day is devoted to discovering the Tarangire National Park. The park offers numerous tracks to approach the animals in the stunning landscapes of the savanna. The Tarangire park is covered with acacia forest and giant baobabs and surrounded by swaps that attract various animal species. You may see elephants up close during your safari, as Tarangire is known for. Throughout the park, you can find species that are challenging to locate in other northern parks, such as the Gerenuk, Oryx and Greater Kudu. After a long day of exploring, you will spend the night at Sangaiwe Tented Lodge.

Day 4
Maasai Giraffe Eco Lodge

During this day, you can visit the markets of Mto Wa Mbu by car or bicycle. You will meet the inhabitants of this charming little town, located near Lake Manyara, Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro Crater. We provide premium quality bikes, and if something goes wrong, we have a rescue team available to help you. The bike ride will allow you to cross a part of the Manyara forest and the small herds of wild animals on the bank of the lake and the fishermen. For overnight, you will drive off the beaten path to the region of Lake Natron and stay overnight at Maasai Giraffe Eco Lodge.

Day 5
Maasai Giraffe Eco Lodge

This day starts, after breakfast, with a guided walking tour around Lake Natron. This lake has one of the most alkaline waters in the world and is surrounded by flamingos and other water bird species. The next stop of your hike is the Ngare Sero River, where the oasis landscape contrasts the surrounding dry terrain. You may encounter baboons and other wildlife on the way to the river’s source. Once you reach there, you will face waterfalls gushing out of the mountain. The road to Engaro Serai Falls is not always easy, but the reward of swimming is worth it because it is a great way to cool off after a hot hike in the sun. After ending the walk, you will return to the camp to enjoy a delicious meal under the stars. Due to the hot weather at Lake Natron, we strongly advise you to bring protective clothing, sunscreen, water shoes, or closed sandals to go into the water for maximum comfort. At the end of the day, we will drive you back to your homestay, Maasai Giraffe Eco Lodge.

Day 6 and 7
The Whisper Tented Camp

Today, you will visit the famous Serengeti National Park, and due to its dimension, you will need two full days to explore it. In addition to the great migration, Serengeti National Park is well known for being home to many resident animals, especially the “Big Five” (lion, leopard, elephant, black rhino and buffalo). The park is also home to many other species, including cheetah, Thomson’s gazelle, Grant’s gazelle, hyena, baboon, impala, wild dog and giraffe and about 500 species of birds. After a long day of exploring, you will spend the night at The Whisper Tented Camp.

Day 8
Rhino Lodge homestay

Throughout this day, you will finish exploring the famous Serengeti National Park. In the end, you will drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area overnight and sleep at the Rhino Lodge homestay.

Day 9
Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge

In today’s tour, you are going to the famous Ngorongoro Crater, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here, you will find almost every animal in East Africa. The descent into the crater is picturesquely beautiful, with lush forest and thousands of animals overlooking the view. The Ngorongoro crater is home to over 25,000 large animals, including 26 endangered black rhinos and the world’s most significant concentration of lions. At the end of the day, we will drive you back to your homestay, Lake Eyasi Safari Lodge.

Day 10
Homestay at Mama Asia/Mary

This cultural day takes you to the heart of several unique tribes. The Hadzabe tribe live around Lake Eyasi in the south of Ngorongoro conservation. The Hadzabe are the last remaining ancestors of the original hunter and gatherer ethnicity who first inhabited Tanzania. There are several reasons to get to know the Hadzabe tribe, but the main ones are to explore their local ways of life, participate in hunting, and collect fruits and wild honey gathering. Also, you can practice local bow and arrow skills during hunting activities. In the afternoon, you will have a chance to meet and experience the nomadic tribe Datoga culture, known for being skilled craftsmen and blacksmiths. This visit will complete your cultural experience at Lake Eyasi. At the end of the day, you will be driven back to Arusha and spend your last night at Mama Asia/Mary homestay.
