As Tanzania's fourth largest national park, the Mikumi National Park offers a fantastic wildlife experience.

Due to its proximity to one of Tanzania’s biggest cities, Dar es Salaam, this fantastic park has an area of over 3,000 km2. Surrounded by the Arc Mountains, this area is known for its Mikumi flood plains and wildlife. The most pleasing zone of the park is Mkata Plains. Hiking trails in this area can offer amazing views of rock formations like the Ruhebo Mountains and the Uluguru Mountains.

The Mikumi National Park is home to numerous animals, including elephants, buffaloes, zebras, leopards, lions, sable antelopes, and great kudu. The diverse ecosystem and vegetation in the area support many bird species, including black-billed bustards, oxpeckers, and secretary birds.
On the Northwest side, you can find a variety of flora, such as Acacia trees, the large Baobabs tree, and the fantastic African Elephants.
